Do you love sci-fi? I am madly in love with these science fictions and I am always keen to watch them. There are many on television these days, but I like the ‘Star Trek’ the most. Today I am in mood to watch it from beginning, though I’ve watched the recent episodes too. You know besides being a sci-fi, I like the storyline of each episode very much. In fact you can say that I liked the blend of drama with sci-fi.

In every episode, there is a different story which is interestingly flavored with technical stuff. Special effects are always amazing on the show. Especially in this episode named ‘Charlie X’ of the season one that I’ve just watched. Watching it once is never enough, believe me.
I would call this episode a wonderful experiment of imagination. Here is a teenage boy named Charlie who is found on a planet by Enterprise and they bring him on starship and decide to drop him to Antares. Later on it is revealed that the boy has amazing super powers of mind. He can do anything by just thinking. When he is angry he can destroy the thing just by thinking about it. He makes many people disappear from the ship whom he got angry with. Even he vaporizes Rand, whom he falls in love with, and he does so because she fails to reciprocate his love.

He uses most of powers in anger and a few in jealous and inferiority complex. I wonder upon the special effects used in this episode, how the chess pieces melt when Charlie is angry with his defeat in chess. After that he removes crew member’s faces in anger, and makes all those people whom he doesn’t like disappear.

There is a one funny thing too, Rand introduces him to a girl of his age to get rid of him and later on he transforms the same girl into a lizard and turns another young crew member into an old woman. Now I won’t tell you how these guys got rid of Charlie, check it on your own.
